Warrawong Grants Application Guidelines
The Foundation of Graduates in Early Childhood Studies established the Warrawong Fund to:
- support individuals and groups in the State of Victoria whose opportunities to undertake formal training or to pursue professional development experiences in the field of early childhood education and care, are limited by geographic, physical, economic or social circumstances.
- support projects and initiatives relating to the training and professional development of staff working in the field of early childhood education and care in Victoria.
*The funding application is for up to $10,000
Who can apply?
- grants are available to not-for profit early childhood services or organisations to provide professional learning opportunities for early childhood professionals within the service/organisation.
- priority will be given to those disadvantaged from participating in professional development due to geographic location, physical, personal, economic or social circumstances.
We do not fund:
- organisations outside of Victoria
- professional learning activities related to children over eight years of age
- individuals
- organisations operating for commercial gain
- training that is already Government funded, e.g. Victoria School Readiness, Child Safe training or First aid or Food Safety training which is mandatory for all services
How does your organisation apply?
- Applications must be lodged using the electronic form by the closing date for Warrawong grants. The application form will be automatically disabled after this time.
- There is an expectation that this round of grants is for professional learning activities / projects that should be completed by June in the year following your receiving the grant, unless authorisation is given to extend the timeline.
- This form can be saved and returned to at a later time - simply click the 'Save and resume later' feature at the bottom of the page. Once submitted, further edits are not able to be made.
- All sections marked with * must be completed before applications can be submitted.
- Applications by individuals will not be accepted.
- If you have further queries, email info@foresthillecf.org.au - however note that this email address is accessed infrequently and normally during the grant period only.
Receipt of applications:
- applications close on the due date stipulated on this website.
- all applicants will be advised of the outcome by email in July. Please ensure you give the correct email address.
- if funds are granted, they are to be used for the purpose referred to in the application and cannot be used for any other purpose
- grant payments will be paid directly into the applicant's nominated bank account.
- successful grant recipients may not receive the full amount requested
- the Trustees must be notified if applicants receive funding for the professional learning activity from other sources.
- due to the large volume of grant applications received, no correspondence will occur as to why applications are not successful.
- if your professional development project does not go ahead by 30th June of the year following the year in which funds were granted, the monies will need to be returned unless the Foundation has given permission to extend the deadline.
How will your grant be paid?
- Please note we will be paying direct into successful applicants' bank accounts approximately 3 months after the closing date for applications.
- Please ensure that we have the correct details of your organisation's banking details. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the banking details that have been recorded are correct. We do not take responsibility for retrieving funds that have been paid into an incorrect account where the details were given in error.
Applicants' reports
- If successful, you will receive a Warrawong Professional Learning Grant Activity Report, which must be completed and submitted upon completion of the professional learning activity.
- Complete the Warrawong Grant report form.
Acknowledgements
The support of the Foundation must be acknowledged for all professional development activities funded by the Foundation.
