We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional owners of the nation that we now call Australia and that sovereignty was never ceded. We acknowledge that colonisation resulted in the dispossession of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and their ongoing connections to the lands, waters and skies and care for community and their practice of culture across generations. |
